The anime series Kill la Kill , produced by Trigger , features a cast of characters with a variety of designs and abilities. The protagonist Ryuko Matoi is a transfer student who searches for her father's killer, going against the iron-fisted student council president, Satsuki Kiryuin , and subsequently mother's fashion empire. She immediately befriends Ryuko upon the latter's arrival at the school. Senketsu notes that Mako is vital for getting Ryuko to relax. Initially, it absorbs a large amount of her blood and only allows her to act for a limited time, however, it is soon able to fully synchronize with Ryuko as she gets over her embarrassment of wearing such a skimpy outfit.
Take a Chill la Pill — We all know Ragyo is evil, but there is one thing
Several of the characters in Kill la Kill are incredibly powerful, but even those without any physical prowess make their voice heard loud and clear. Where would this show be without Mako Mankanshoku? One of the most common arguments made by misogynists is that women wear revealing clothing to either attract or to distract them — because in their heads they are always the center of attention. She is blatantly ambitious, considering her work to be her ultimate goal in life. Most interestingly, however, is the fact that Nui refers to herself in the masculine, using the Japanese word "boku," which is a personal pronoun used exclusively by young men and boys. He then proceeds to wipe out the Automotive Airsoft Club by exposing his Shackle Regalia, an outfit that powers up upon receiving punishment. Ira points out the most important lesson he learned from Satsuki: that those who lack resolve are incapable of even wiping away their own tears.
While I admit that the bath scene in episode 16 was probably made with fan service purposes in mind while showing how fucked up Ragyo is in order to establish her role as future main villain, I think that the molesting scenes after episode 17 were definitely not for fan service. They showed Ragyo molesting Satsuki so often and so visual to make sure the viewers get that Ragyo is the powerful and superior one, the alpha, not the seemingly almighty, perfect and overpowered Satsuki we knew until then. That bath scene made pretty clear how powerless Satsuki was against Ragyo, Satsuki visibly showed fear and reluctance but could do absolutely nothing against it.
Satsuki has Iori warn the Elite Four to be on guard until the reach Honnouji. Reaching the family estate, Satsuki is shown to the elaborate bath, where she gets in painfully. Ragyou joins her daughter, saying that this bath will help Satsuki better bond with the Seimeiseni within Junketsu. After doing the unthinkable with her daughter, Ragyou says it is time for Satsuki to learn the truth behind COVERS and the seimeseni, leading her to a secret room in the mansion. Meanwhile, Mikisugi allows Mako to accompany him, Tsumugu, and Ryuuko underwater to the hidden part of the Nudist Beach base that Nonon did not destroy.
